Alignment for Vinyasa
The rigorous sequences of flow classes often gloss over the important details of safe and sustainable movement. This workshop explores the nuts and bolts of a typical flow series. Sadie a.k.a. the “Chataranga Whisperer,” offers a keen understanding of biomechanics, anatomy and alignment. The workshop will:
- Unpack tricky vinyasa transitions.
- Troubleshoot the typical blind spots in popular poses.
- Emphasize safety and provide modifications for injuries.
- Allow time for questions.
- Include an extended savasana.
Many yogis get stuck in the rigidity of performing postures. This workshop examines asana as a container and questions what is contained. Transcending the cannon of typical postures, we will explore Sahajra yoga- the yoga of intuitive, blissful and liberating movement. With safe, dynamic movements we will travel back to the initial seed of many asanas. The workshop will:
- Explore new possibilities in traditional asanas.
- Use these movements to personalize a home practice.
- Conclude with a deep, guided relaxation.
Standing Poses 101- Establishing a Foundation
Regardless your style of yoga, standing poses offer a foundation. With skillful practice these poses cultivate openness, grounding, and strength. With playful movements and insightful alignment this workshop covers warrior I, warrior II, triangle, half moon and extended side angle pose. We will unravel common blind spots to establish a sustainable practice. Seasoned yogis will discover new insights while novices can build a solid base.
Standing Poses 102- Adding a Twist
How do you stay on your feet when you are all twisted up? Standing revolved poses challenge our stability, breath work and spinal rotation. This workshop begins by soothing and untangling the spine on the floor. Discovering new possibilities of spine mobility, we’ll explore twists from the ground up. Specific core exercises will establish a strong platform to build our standing poses. Poses include revolved half moon, triangle and entirely new twists.
Standing Poses 103- The Balance of Mobility and Stability
In advanced standing postures, we master both mobility and stability. Unique range of motion exercises will lubricate the joints and warm muscles. To ground and center, we will access Sadie’s “unsung heroes” of the core. Balance postures that appeared tricky or inaccessible will become playful and approachable. Familiar standing poses will combine with creative balance exercises.
The Yoga of Kettlebells
Like yoga, kettlebell training offers a powerful system for moving energy through the body. This unique workshop teaches safe, simple exercises for unparalleled cardiovascular and strength conditioning. This innovative fitness practice combines exhilarating kettlebell training with soothing yoga.
The 6 Exercises of Integration
The body organizes itself into movement patterns, not parceled muscles. This training uses full body exercises that transcend the outdated and dysfunctional approaches. This safe and playful workshop will include intervals, core work, isometrics and full range of motion exercises. Leave with a new understand of holistic fitness and practical take-home workouts.

A workplace yoga class can boost creativity, productivity and employee wellness. As Clif Bar & Co.’s In-house Yogi, I explain how to set up a company class including finding an appropriate teacher, setting up the space, and making the class appropriate for mixed levels.

I teach accessible and safe movements that clear the mind, energize the body, and ignite creativity. The class will build team enthusiasm and camaraderie. No special equipment or attire needed.
